Why is my account being closed?

Thank you for your support and participation in the Ribbon Pioneer Programme - an invitation based limited-period beta testing programme. As the beta testing phase comes to an end, we are thrilled to announce that the launch of an enhanced Ribbon SuperApp is progressing at full speed, and we will keep you informed of the launch date. Stay tuned to be among the first to access the new version of the Ribbon SuperApp. Meanwhile, we must close your beta test Account.

What will happen?

Your Ribbon card will cease to work, and your account will be closed on 16th Nov 2023.

What do I need to do?

You will need to clear the funds from your account before 16th Nov 2023. You can do this by spending your funds using the card, withdrawing them from an ATM or transferring them to another account from within your app. Remember to first move any balance from your piggy bank to your main account and ensure to make your Ribbon account zero balance for a smooth account closure.

Once your balance is £0.00, please destroy your card by cutting it through the chip and mag-stripe.

If funds remain on your account after the closure date, you have the right to redeem your funds free of charge. Please be aware that personal details and any alternative account details you nominate would need to be verified before funds can be redeemed.

If you have any Direct Debits or Standing Orders setup on your account, please make alternative arrangements for these.
If you regularly have funds deposited into your account, please make alternative arrangements for these to be sent to another account, as these will be sent back when your account is closed.
